RoomToPlan is private by default. The app scans rooms using your device's camera and LiDAR sensor, builds a 3D model and a floor plan, and saves them on your device. All processing happens on-device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information, and the app has no accounts, no ads, and no third-party tracking.
We do not collect any personal information. RoomToPlan has no user accounts and does not send your data to us or to any third party. Specifically:
RoomToPlan uses the camera and the LiDAR depth sensor solely to scan the room you point it at and to generate a 3D model and floor plan. The camera and depth feed are processed live on your device using Apple's RoomPlan and ARKit frameworks. RoomToPlan does not record or save raw camera video, and it does not transmit the camera or depth feed off your device.
Finished scans (the 3D model, floor plan, and basic measurements) are saved locally in the app's storage on your device so you can view them in History. This data stays on your device. You can delete any saved scan at any time within the app, and deleting the app removes all of its saved scans. If you use iCloud device backup, that backup may include the app's local data; the backup is controlled by your Apple and iCloud settings, not by RoomToPlan.
When you choose to export or share a scan (for example a DXF, USDZ, or PDF floor plan), the file is created on your device and handed to the standard iOS share sheet. What happens next — such as sending it to a designer, saving to Files, or emailing it — is initiated and controlled entirely by you through iOS. RoomToPlan does not upload these files anywhere on its own.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone. Because we do not collect your data, there is nothing for us to share.
RoomToPlan does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media SDKs. The app is distributed and purchased through the Apple App Store; your purchase is processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, and RoomToPlan does not receive your payment details.
RoomToPlan does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). Because the app collects no personal data, it does not build profiles of, or track, any user.
